August 2007 Angela Menoutis, Lab
Manager of Analytical cGMP services
at Quantex, was recognized by the Rutgers University
Cooperative Extension Somerset
County 4-H
for ten years of volunteer service.
For the last ten years Angela has
volunteered her time and talents to
the 4-H Science-sational Day,
held annually on a Saturday in late April for
participants from the Somerset County and central New Jersey area. Science-sational Day offers a
day of science fun for nearly 300 youth, grades 1-9, and their parents with
dozens
of hands-on workshops. Angela has presented a hands on workshop titled "Chemistry Wizardry." In
commenting about the award, Lisa
Rothenburger of the Somerset County
4-H said " Angela has presented
a new topic in the "Chemistry
Wizardry" workshop for each
of the last ten years. This workshop
has one of the highest attendances
of all the annual workshops. Angela
ha been able to engage young people
in science and that science is fun.
This award recognizes her dedication
and efforts to show that science
is both interesting and fun." All
